Social media services Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram are back up and running after an outage that lasted almost six hours, Facebook says.
Facebook says the cause was a faulty configuration change. The company says it doesn’t believe any user data was impacted.
All three services could not be accessed over the web or on smartphone apps.
“To everyone who was affected by the outages on our platforms today, we’re sorry,”Facebook said in a statement.
Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, also apologised to those affected by the outage.
